ABSTRACT: The influence of early childhood education on memory retention is essential for understanding how early educational experiences enhance children's ability to retain and recall information. This study explores how early childhood education programs influence memory retention in young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's short-term and long-term memory, (2) evaluate the integration of memory-enhancing activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's ability to recall information accurately. A survey design is justified as it enables comprehensive data collection on the influence of early childhood education on memory retention. A purposive sample of 130 children  from preschools in Oyo State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool renowned for its memory-enhancing activities. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's short-term and long-term memory, the effectiveness of memory-enhancing activities, and positive changes in children's ability to recall information accurately. Recommendations included integrating memory-enhancing activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to support children's memory retention development.
